Title IX Comment Period

The Department of Education has proposed possible changes to Title IX processed and proceedings. These overall changes would make it more difficult for survivors of gender-based violence to come forward and be able to report. The changes also lessen the responsibility of institutions to respond to allegations of sexual violence. Read more about the potential regulations here and here. 

Safer is organizing an effort to submit comments during the public 60-day comment period before the deadline of January 28, 2019.
