Our rape crisis and domestic violence advocates have completed 65 hours of intensive training to be certified by the state of California to support and advocate for survivors of sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

Shelby Lynne (she/hers)
Shelby is the full-time Campus Advocate at Safer. She graduated from the Residential College at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a degree in Political Science and Gender and Health. Prior to working at Safer, Shelby has worked in family health and anti-violence initiatives across agencies and institutions in Michigan, Texas, and California - primarily serving undocumented or immigrant populations. She has been involved in the promotion of survivor empowerment and healing since 2012. Shelby is currently a M.S. candidate in the Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs program at Cal Poly. She loves working with students, taking her dog to the beach, and studying herbalism.
